Outline
of the project:
- Economy: To investigate “the
production of tomorrow” by carrying out biotechnological
research for the European mineral extractive industry
- Environment: To develop
sustainable biotechnological processes that will reduce the
impact of mining & metallurgical activities
- Technology: To integrate
various innovative biotechnological processes for the recovery
of metals from primary and secondary materials (ores and
concentrates, and mining wastes, slags, scrap, and
combustion/power plant ashes, respectively)
